Residing in the Victorian brick arches of Bagley Walk, the design pays homage to the functional style of Cubitts’ namesake, architect Lewis Cubitt. Cascading plants fill the store, celebrating the renewal and rejuvenation of the King’s Cross area.

The softly curving Georgian facade houses a celebration of the European influences of the 1930s, the decade in which Fitzrovia was born. The tea green exterior is a nod to the building’s first incarnation as How & Cheverton’s tea merchants, while the furniture is synonymous with early European modernism.

Built as a pub in 1853, the building traded as The Talbot Arms for over a century. In the mid 1980s, it became the headquarters of a number of music labels, including Better Badges (a maker of punk pin badges). It now houses a retail site, optical workshop and our Operations HQ.
