We are a modern spectacles company founded in King’s Cross, London in 2013. By combining traditional frame craft with modern methods, we hope to revive Britain’s long lost optical legacy.


Our mission is this. To make the finest spectacles we can. To make the process of buying prescription frames enjoyable, engaging and informative. To be fair, open and honest with our customers. To use the best of modern technology, and continually reinvest to help us achieve our goals.


We currently have seven stores in London, with more on the way and ambitious plans for the future. We’re looking for exceptional people to join us as we put these plans into practice.

Store Manager - West London

We’re thrilled to be opening our ninth Cubitts store this Summer in West London. We are looking for an optically-experienced Store Manager to launch and nurture our new site, building a successful shop team and daily clinic, and growing a loyal customer base.

The role:

  • Ensure the seamless running of the new store by working closely with our HQ departments, building rapport with your own team, and welcoming new and existing customers to the location
  • Achieve sales targets and ensuring consistently excellent Customer Experience and Retail Standards are delivered and maintained
  • Successfully manage all dispensing activities and be responsible for your team’s optical learning and progression
  • Expertly communicate daily focuses to your colleagues, maintaining brand policy and ethos throughout
  • To comfortably explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patients
  • Manage and work with our Optometrists and your team to provide impeccable lens and frame selection, fitting and customer service to all
  • Work alongside our glazing partners, excelling in lens selection
  • Develop, execute, and constantly improve operational activities to ensure the store achieves financial and customer-focused goals
  • Regularly feedback to the Head of Retail and attend management meetings
  • Develop and ensure company procedures are followed to protect inventory and assets, as well as all activities relating to risk management and staff safety
  • Provide ongoing training and development for all team members
  • Oversee the timely execution of product launches and all displays in line with company direction
  • Act as a representative for Cubitts, helping to educate and excite others about our mission and company story
  • Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge as well as accurately explaining features and benefits of various lenses and Cubitts frames
  • Plan events and develop outreach to build relationships with the local community in order to drive revenue and create brand awareness

Who you are:

  • Ideally a qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC, or have three years working in optics
  • 3 years of managerial experience

Assistant Manager - West London

We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to co-run our ninth Cubitts store, launching this Summer in West London. We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with expert optical knowledge and the experience to support a new team and store.

 

The role:

  • Supporting the Store Manager, ensuring a seamless running of the business

SENIOR ASSOCIATE - West London

We are looking for full-time and part-time Senior Optical Associates to be based at our new West London store, launching this Summer. You’ll be looking to further your optical experience in this customer-focused role, fine-tuning your dispensing skills whilst gaining an in-depth product knowledge.


The role:

  • Responsible for ensuring completion of daily tasks, and helping to meet our targets
  • Maintaining and delivering an excellent Customer Experience
  • Lead by example to effectively manage sales, deal with enquiries and managing our patient booking system
  • To dispense our products to consistently high standards, excelling at fitting frames, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge, and giving expert style advice
  • To comfortably explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patients (full training will be given)
  • Ensure the retail environment is flawlessly run, including taking responsibility for visual merchandising and all housekeeping
  • To act as a representative for our brand to help educate and excite others about the Cubitts mission and company story
  • Support your colleagues and, in turn, further your development

OPTICAL ASSOCIATE - WEST LONDON

The role:

  • Consistently deliver an excellent Customer Experience
  • Manage sales, deal with enquiries, book in and assist eye test patients
  • To dispense our products to consistently high standards, excelling at fitting frames, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and giving expert style advice
  • Ensure the retail environment is flawlessly run, including taking responsibility for visual merchandising and housekeeping
  • To act as a representative for our brand to help educate and excite others about the Cubitts mission and company story
  • To comfortably explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patients (full training will be given)
  • Proactively drive your own training and development by attending regular training workshops on dispensing, repairs, fitting and adjustments
  • Support the management of stock and keeping everything in a tidy and organised manner

Who you are:


  • Previous retail experience is essential, and optical experience a bonus, although genuine interest is most important
  • You’re comfortable in a busy environment and take pride in what you do
  • You show great initiative, positivity and patience

ASSISTANT MANAGER - CUBITTS COAL DROPS YARD, LONDON

We are in search of a full-time Assistant Manager to co-run our recently opened store, Cubitts Coal Drops Yard. Located seconds from the newly regenerated Granary Square, the shop is set in railway arches steeped in the industrial history of King's Cross.


The role:

We are seeking full-time and part-time Optometrists to be based at our new London practice. You will be providing outstanding clinical care, and the highest calibre of eye examinations to our patients.

PEOPLE MANAGER - LONDON

A unique role to develop our outstanding group of people, encompassing training, development and all people related issues. Your ultimate responsibility will be act as the glue which binds our people together, with support, advice, events and training.

Responsibilities of the role


Developing our brilliant people:

  • Co-ordinate and manage the training programme, for all Cubitts team 
  • Booking teams into frame making classes
  • Liaise with HR advisors as and when necessary
  • Support arrangement of end of financial year appraisals
