We are a modern spectacles company founded in King’s Cross, London in 2013. By combining traditional frame craft with modern methods, we hope to revive Britain’s long lost optical legacy.

Our mission is this. To make the finest spectacles we can. To make the process of buying prescription frames enjoyable, engaging and informative. To be fair, open and honest with our customers. To use the best of modern technology, and continually reinvest to help us achieve our goals.

We currently have ten stores in London, with more on the way and ambitious plans for the future. We’re looking for exceptional people to join us as we put these plans into practice.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, responsible for supporting our Borough store. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you will help run the store and be a role model to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the store manager to deliver exceptional customer experience
  • Ensure the seamless running of the store by working closely with our HQ departments
  • Manage all dispensing activities and be responsible for your team’s optical learning and progression
  • Act as an ambassador for Cubitts, helping to educate and excite others about our mission
  • Clearly communicate daily focuses to the team underpinned by our brand values
  • To comfortably explain eye health, eyewear and prescription terminology to patients
  • Exceptional product knowledge, explaining features and benefits of lenses and Cubitts frames
  • Ensure the team provides impeccable lens and frame selection, delivering perfecting fitting frames
  • To master all the skills needed for repairing and restoring Cubitts frames
  • Lead and train on Cubitts Bespoke services, supported by our marketing leading technology
  • Participate in weekly trade calls and weekly meetings setting focuses and goals
  • Ensure company procedures are followed to protect inventory and assets

Store Manager, Hampstead

 We are looking for a Store Manager, responsible for the opening of our newest Cubitts store. Reporting directly to the Head of Retail, you will manage the store and be a role model to deliver an exceptional customer experience.  

The most important characteristic is an alignment to our core values. You will be the type of person that always looks to improve things by finding a way that is simpler or simply better (Pioneer). You will be someone that takes pride in their work, always doing it properly even when you’re exhausted (Proud). HQ Opportunities

Senior Designer, King's Cross HQ

Our mission is to transform the spectacles industry for the better. From the quality of the product to the quality of the service whilst reducing waste along with the way. We want to be the pioneers in what has become a staid and uninspiring industry, proud of what we do, by doing things properly, and accessible for all, because we believe all humans are equal.

We are looking for an exceptional creative, who can turn their hand to pretty much anything. You'll play a leading role in developing the Cubitts aesthetic, with proven experience in graphic design, digital and print, and art direction. Experience of animation, illustration and photography is a bonus. You'll need to have an aesthetic which mirrors ours, with a strong interest in typography, formal and colour.

Reporting to the Head of Creative, you will be involved in working from concept through to final delivery across all digital and social channels, cubitts.com, email, paid media, and social platforms. You will be responsible for all retail design and printed material. You will have a strong understanding of retail and e-commerce is essential, along with a keen eye for innovation and design trends.

As a senior member of the team, you would also encourage the general growth and output of the team, helping to drive transformation, learning and opportunities.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Digital design - working with the Head of Creative and Brand Marketing Director to ensure we produce beautiful and effective digital content and marketing communications. This includes creation of digital advertising and campaigns, email campaigns, on-site experience and social assets. Animation and video editing experience is essential.
  • Retail design - having beautiful retail environments is extremely important for us, and as part of the role you would own the design and artworking of signage, printed collateral for events, special projects, seasonal campaigns, retail needs and day to day communications (flyers, posters, POS, etc); design
  • Print design - designing printed material, packaging and product display – such as point of sales materials, our annual Journal / lookbook, packaging, visual merchandising options. Manage and oversee print production for all customer facing printed branded collaterals and liaise with printers ensuring quality is consistent and budgets are adhered to

What you’ll have

  • More than 4 years’ experience in a similar role, in an agency or luxury retail brand
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative software/ Photoshop/ InDesign/ Premiere/ After Effects / Illustrator
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently when needed.
  • Able to prioritise to meet deadlines
  • A team player who can work closely with others to problem solve and propose creative solutions
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both excellence in aesthetics and technical skills
  • Expert knowledge of print artworking and production
  • Understanding of brand guidelines to ensure content is on-brand and cohesive, and champion fresh content within
  • Ability to handle changing demands and priorities, and to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Confidence, friendliness, and respect in the workplace
  • Detail-oriented, with a keen interest in Cubitts brand and culture
  • High level of personal energy to drive projects to completion and sustain productivity and quality
  • Able to articulate and communicate ideas effectively
